QPearl represents a revolutionary step forward in sustainable hotel cosmetics, elegantly combining luxury, innovation, and responsibility.

At the core of QPearl lies its groundbreaking, double-patented design—a small, pearl-shaped, single-use cosmetic unit. The unique outer shell is 100% biodegradable when exposed to hot water, achieving zero waste. This dissolving moment transforms each use into a magical, sensorial experience that elevates daily routines into rituals.

Already recognized for its outstanding innovation, QPearl has garnered prestigious accolades, including the HiP New Horeca Business award for innovation, a Trends award at Cosmoprof, and finalist status at the Milano Design Award.

Industry Context
Every year, approximately 120 billion units of cosmetic packaging flood the market, with an alarming 91% of it never being recycled. Against this backdrop, QPearl introduces an entirely plastic-free, high-end cosmetic experience.

Challenge
Our studio was tasked with developing a concise and impactful brand identity, encompassing naming, logo creation, packaging direction, and conceptual dispenser designs.

The Strategy
The brand name "QPearl" was strategically chosen for its concision, memorability, and immediate availability as a .com domain. Intentionally, we sought to associate the product with the elegance and purity of a pearl, both in form and meaning. Designed to resonate in a premium hospitality context, the name subtly conveys both sophistication and environmental consciousness.

The QPearl logo was meticulously crafted from scratch, inspired explicitly by the shape of the pearl, emphasizing harmony, elegance, and purity. This minimalist approach reflects QPearl’s commitment to simplicity and refined luxury, aligning perfectly with its high-end hotel clientele. The brand's visual identity purposefully avoids unnecessary embellishments, highlighting the core promise of luxury without compromising the environment.

Further extending the brand’s commitment to sustainability, all materials developed for QPearl are entirely plastic-free. This principle guided every aspect, including packaging and promotional items. Packaging solutions are sleek, sophisticated, and exclusively use sustainable materials, reinforcing the zero-plastic commitment.

A significant challenge we explored was initiating a design study for QPearl dispensers that would remain entirely free from plastics. This phase involved extensive research and conceptual exploration. One of the proposed directions featured unique pearl-shaped caps, aiming to reinforce the product's identity and aesthetic. These concepts were designed to align with QPearl’s brand values while offering a stylish and sustainable solution for high-end hospitality environments.

Overall, the QPearl brand identity encapsulates innovation, elegance, and profound respect for the environment. In essence, QPearl is not just a product; it’s a commitment to a cleaner planet, wrapped in an unforgettable brand experience.
